Emmerdale star Emma Atkins teases Charity’s devastation over Vanessa break-up

Vanessa ends her relationship with Charity Dingle in Emmerdale

‘Her world is crashing in on her’

Emmerdale star Emma Atkins has teased how Charity Dingle’s world comes crashing down around her next week as first Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) dumps her and then her young son Moses is kidnapped.

Vet Vanessa discovers that Charity’s money has come from the casino heist and when she gives her the chance to come clean, she simply tells her more lies and Vanessa flips – you’re dumped Charity!

The news doesn’t quite sink in with Charity at first, reveals Emma. “Charity has always felt she wears the trousers. So at first, she thinks that Vanessa will forgive her. But Vanessa has been lied to enough in the past, and the betrayal is too big.”

Charity learns the truth in Emmerdale

Aaron and Cain are shocked when they get a call from Sean who says he's kidnapped Moses. Not surprisingly Charity hits the roof in Emmerdale when she finds out what's happened

Charity then makes another bad decision when she entrusts her ex Cain (Jeff Hordley) with looking after Moses. Cain and Aaron (Danny Miller) have a stolen car they’re trying to shift and their problems deepen when gang member Sean, the car’s owner, starts hanging about.

And events take a horrific turn when Sean later calls to say he’s kidnapped Moses. With that and being ditched by Vanessa, Charity is staring into oblivion. “Her world is crashing in on her and it’s not like she can go running to Vanessa. That relationship has gone now. It’s evaporated because of her wrongdoing,” reveals Emma.

Thankfully, Cain and Araon mange to get Moses back by returning the motor. But Charity remains on the edge – can she win Vanessa back? Or are they over for good?

Emmerdale continues on ITV.
