Rachel and co could be back...

Fans have been dreaming of a Friends reunion for 25 years - now it appears Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross could me making a surprise comeback

The Hollywood Reporter has said that Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) are in talks over making an unscripted Friends reunion special.

Also said to be in the talks are the show’s creators, David Crane and Marta Kauffman, in a potential deal which would delight fans of the legendary sitcom, who’ve had to do with endless repeats of Friends for the last couple of decades.

It’s reported that the show is for new streaming site HBO Max - which has not commented on the claims - but there’s little doubt that British viewers would get a chance to watch any reboot.

It’s unclear, assuming it happens, quite how an unscripted reunion show would work.

Jennifer Aniston teased to daytime host Ellen DeGeneres that something could be in the pipeline, saying previously: “We would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So we’re just trying. We’re working on something.”

Friends ended in 2004 after running for an amazing 236 episodes.
