It was Halloween night on Strictly Come Dancing for the remaining 11 dancers in week six - and it was singer Frankie Bridge who had the judges completely under her spell with her terrifyingly terrific tango.
Frankie and her pro partner Kevin Clifton scored 37/40 - which included a wickedly wonderful 10 from Bruno Tonioli.
“That was totally wicked in the best possible way,” Bruno told Frankie. “It almost brought me to tears. Your technique was superb!”
“That was so beautiful, it sent shivers down my back,” added Darcey Bussell.
The other frighteningly good dancer in the judges’ eyes was reality TV star Mark Wright, who performed a very jumpy jive with Karen Hauer and scored 35/40.
“Bravo!” said Craig Revel Horwood.
“Your timing was spot on,” added Bruno. “Your best dance yet.”
Mark was known among his mates as “Marky no-moves” before this competition… Bet he’s not any more.
The horror stories of the Halloween-themed night were, predictably, DJ Scott Mills and tennis coach Judy Murray. They finished at the bottom of the leaderboard, with Judy scoring 20/40 for her American Smooth with Anton Du Beke and Scott scoring 21/40 for his foxtrot with Joanne Clifton.
“You deliver what’s expected from you: nothing,” Bruno said to Judy.
“Halloween is all about the supernatural,” Len Goodman told Scott. “Your dance wasn’t super or natural - but it was entertaining.”
Singer/songwriter Pixie Lott had another good week, scoring 32/40 for her tango with Trent Whiddon.
“You are so exciting to watch,” Darcey told Pixie.
“It was strong, powerful… You two have an extraordinary partnership. Fantastic,” added Craig.
TV presenter Caroline Flack also thrilled the judges with the samba she performed with Pasha Kovalev.
“That was a sizzling, satanic samba!” Bruno said.
“An extraordinary, controlled and clean disco samba,” added Darcey. “An incredibly exciting performance.”
EastEnders’ star Jake Wood failed to work his magic with his snake hips, but still scored 29/40 for his Paso Doble with Janette Manrara.
“I was disappointed,” Craig told Jake. “I thought it was a bit stilted.”
“It needed more shape,” Len added.
“I did struggle with the shapes and steps in this dance,” Jake admitted.
Singer Simon Webbe, who was in the dance-off last week, also scored 29/40 for his Paso Doble with Kristina Rihanoff.
“A commanding performance,” Craig told Simon.
“You came alive,” Darcey added.
But who will be dead on their feet and gone after the public vote?
