Based on a bestselling video game, the movie – produced by Bruckheimer and directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) – tells the story of an adopted prince called Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal), who joins forces with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) to prevent a villainous nobleman (Ben Kingsley) from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world. On his quest, Dastan acquires a powerful dagger, which allows him to stop and even turn back time.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is released on 28 May 2010.
Cher’s If I Could Turn Back Time was released in 1989.
