But just as the on-off, on-off couple prepare to wave goodbye to Walford, Alfie has visited the doctor after an optometrist's test revealed an abnormality. An MRI scan later, Alfie has been diagnosed with a brain tumour!

It's just another obstacle in the path of their romance. Will they ever find a period of calm and happiness in their relationship, or are they destined to be Walford's Burton & Taylor forever?
