Carmel has tipped off Mark about Calvin's attempt to catch Warren confessing to murder on tape and he bursts into The Loft and arrests Warren. Calvin is relieved that the nightmare will soon be all over but he's stunned when Mark reveals that the recording didn't work and Warren is free to go. Calvin gets the sack and he confronts Warren and they end up in a vicious fight and have to be dragged apart. Nancy and Russ are loved up after spending the night together and they can't keep their hands off each other. Hannah is shocked when she sees them canoodling in the village but their friends are happy for them and insist that they are meant to be together. Hannah and Justin are both too stubborn to admit their feelings to each other. Leila tries to intervene but doesn't seem to get very far until Hannah and Justin both ask Leila to help them confess their feelings. Leila is otherwise distracted by her problems with Elliot and it seems that things will go unsaid yet again. Also, Darren convinces Steph to lend him some money for a new venture and he hires a portaloo for the village! His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
