A Casualty favourite is murdered!
But who pays the ultimate price in a brutal revenge attack at Holby City ED?
BBC1 have been teasing fans for months with the death of a main character and this weekend one of the ED’s most popular characters is brutally murdered in an intense episode…
Tensions are high in Holby when right-wing mum and son, Denise and Scott Ellison, arrive at the hospital to visit Denise’s ill husband Roy. The medical staff are on high alert because last time notorious racists Denise and Roy were in the ED there was a terrorist siege and Jacob was shot!
The mood quickly changes, however, when Dr Lily Chao (Crystal Yu) is rushed to resus after being involved in a hit and run last week. Lily’s friends Cal, Ethan and Alicia, instantly abandon the doctors’ strike outside and scramble to help their fellow doctor…
As the shocked medical team crowd around a critical Lily, Roy’s condition suddenly deteriorates! Desperate to get the doctors’ attention, Roy’s thuggish son Scott angrily accuses the team of neglecting Roy for Lily. Scott then makes a hateful racist remark so Ethan kicks the fanatical family out of resus and begins working on Roy. Unfortunately Roy is beyond help and when Ethan breaks the news of his death to the Ellisons, he finds himself bearing the brunt of their anger.
Hell-bent on revenge, Denise (EastEnders’ Lucy Benjamin) gives a damning report to a local journalist accusing the doctor’s strike of killing her Roy. Meanwhile, vengeful son Scott (Will Austin) has murder in mind and begins stalking Ethan, who is in close contact with Alicia and his brother Cal. Meanwhile, fragile Lily fights for her life…
Someone’s going to pay the ultimate price for Roy’s death – but will it be Lily, Alicia, Ethan, Cal, or another Casualty favourite caught in the crossfire?
Also this week, Dylan works out that Gemma (Rebecca Ryan) caused Lily’s injuries. At first Gemma lies about her involvement in Lily’s hit and run but when Iain confronts his sister she breaks down and confesses. Will Iain hand Gemma into the police or try and cover up her crime?
Elsewhere, Max has his head turned by a journalist covering the doctors’ strike. They have a shared past, but only one of them remembers the details!
