Warren is stunned when he discovers that Clare Devine is holding him hostage. Clare reveals that she's really after Justin and demands that Warren get him to The Loft. As Clare douses the place in petrol, Calvin arrives and discovers Warren's predicament but instead of calling the police he decides to leave his enemy to his fate. Meanwhile, Hannah turns up at Justin's and Ste is evasive about his whereabouts. Hannah suspects that Justin has gone to see Warren and sets off to find him... Nancy is walking on eggshells around Russ, who is in even more of a bad mood when he discovers that he has no legal rights over Max, as he's not named as the father on the birth certificate. Russ bumps into Calvin and reveals that Nancy feels like a consolation prize if he can't have Max, unaware that a devastated Nancy has overheard. Darren is gutted that he's been disowned by his family and even Cindy wants nothing to do with him. Darren drowns his sorrows at The Dog and is miserable when Cindy says he's only himself to blame. Darren tells Cindy that he knows who's to blame for what's happened - Warren - and he wants him to pay. Patrick McLennan is a London-based journalist and documentary maker who has worked as a writer, sub-editor, digital editor and TV producer in the UK and New Zealand. His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
