Simon MacCorkindale (Dr Harry Harper in Casualty) and Haydn Gwynne (most recently seen in Sherlock) guest star in a story about a graffiti artist who painted himself into a corner – and ended up dead. Who killed Danny ‘Flak’ Tyler? That’s the question that has remained unanswered for four years and now Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman and her team of old dogs, Jack, Brian and Gerry, are on the case. Danny was elevated from a graffiti gang to solo status by wealthy Sir David Bryant (Simon MacCorkindale), who liked Danny’s art. Danny became a big success, but his gang failed. Was one of them jealous enough to kill him? Danny may be gone but he’s not forgotten. Gallery owner Sara Hamlyn (Haydn Gwynne) is exhibiting Danny’s work, which has enjoyed a big price rise since his death. Sir David owned a lot of the artist’s paintings, but he has fallen on hard times and has to sell most of his pieces. There’s one painting in particular, though – Danny’s last – that could lead Sandra and co to complete the picture of who killed him and why. They just have to find it... Brian, meanwhile, has discovered social networking and is ‘tweeting’ about gritty detective work under the tag Top Cop 999. But Sandra, Jack and Gerry are not amused...
