As Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) prepare to attend their newborn daughter's funeral, things are fraught.

Cain (Jeff Hordley) is especially worried about his sister and drops in to see her ahead of the service.

All too soon it's time to go to the church. Grieving parents, Paddy and Chas, are bowled over as they exit the Woolpack and see villagers who have lined the street to the church where vicar Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) is to conduct the service.
