David's latest attempt to reconnect with Jacob blows up in his face as the angry teenager calls his dad's bluff

Monday's episode of Emmerdale is a case of two can play that game for depressed shopkeeper David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden).

With Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) having frozen his dad out of his life for everything that's gone down with Maya (Louisa Clein), David tried to make contact with his angry son online. Creating a fake profile on a gaming site, he connected to Jacob and the rest is history, as they say.

But it really IS history for David as Jacob has sussed David! Luring his dad and mum, Leyla (Roxy Shahidi), to the cafe, Jacob, the furious teenager exposes their game.
