The Kings' marriage is crumbling away and unlike Nicola, Jimmy doesn't seem to want to save it

Nicola King is suspicious in Wednesday's episode of Emmerdale on ITV from 7pm (see our TV Guide for full listings).

Ever since Jimmy  King (Nick Miles) careered into the side of the barn which then collapsed and exploded on Paul Ashdale (Recce Dinsdale), the haulage driver has wanted punishment.

Though the sun was clearly blinding Jimmy in the moments before the smash, he's in pieces over the accident which turned fatal when injured Paul later died in hospital.

Having since been charged with death by dangerous driving, Jimmy has recently decided he's definitely pleading guilty.

His decision has horrified Nicola (Nicola Wheeler).

No matter the state of their marriage - which is in absolute tatters – she can't bear to see her husband give up his future freedom and their family without a fight.

Nicola's hurt when Jimmy closes down her attempt to talk about his decision. With him having appeared to seek out Juliette rather than her to talk about Carl it's another knock to their marriage.

Jimmy was at loggerheads with Juliette over her decision to fight the Kings for custody but Jimmy appears to have softened towards the lad's biological mum, which has hurt Nicola
