Gina, finding the house a mess and her boys gone, thinks something terrible has happened. Hugo returns and says Brendan hit himself in the face by accident. Gina is suspicious. Brendan says Hugo hurt him and everyone rails at Hugo with only Martha taking his side. It takes something Brendan says for the three brothers to be reunited... just as Gina's taking Brendan home. Martha sees the upside of all this - she's finally getting to know the real Hugo, and liking him. Hugo suggests she come out on the boat with him and she accepts. But then she receives a strange phone call where the caller doesn't speak, and hangs up. Martha brushes it off, but someone's following her... Kirsty is surprised to get a letter from Kane's lawyer about preliminary divorce proceedings. While more than happy to be with Miles, the divorce is closing a major chapter of Kirsty's life. Miles, seeing how hard it is for her, decides to do something special for her, to help cheer her up. Colleen becomes convinced that Miles is about to propose but it's the last thing Kirsty wants. His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix.
An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
