Holby City spoilers: Has Jac met her match in new boy Kian?
A new face at Holby gets temperatures rising, as consultant Kian Madani arrives on Darwin. But it seems fiery Jac Naylor isn't taken by his charms...
Jac Naylor's on the warpath as her new consultant on Darwin is late for his first shift. But Kian Madani (played by Iranian-Canadian actor and West End star Ramin Karimloo) makes quite an entrance when he arrives carrying a man on his shoulders that he found collapsed in the hospital car park.
The man, Mark, has a serious problem with his heart – and Kian’s forced to perform emergency surgery in the middle of the ward!
Medic Nicky McKendrick and nurse Essie Di Lucca are clearly smitten with the handsome newcomer who, it’s revealed, has worked with Jac (Rosie Marcel) previously. But the fiery surgeon is unsure if his unorthodox approach is the right fit for her ward…
Jac’s suspicions grow when Mark accuses Kian of attacking him the night before and trying to steal his car. A furious Jac tells Kian that if she discovers Mark’s telling the truth, he’s finished on Darwin!
When Mark takes a turn for the worse, however, and Kian manages to stabilise him in theatre before Jac gets there, she’s clearly impressed and gives Kian a permanent job. But has Jac finally met her match?
Meanwhile, still reeling from the news that Ange Godard is his biological mother, a fact his 'mum' Carole had kept secret, Dominic is unimpressed to discover Carole has landed a job at reception.
As Carole pushes to be closer to him, Dom feels this makes it easier for Ange not to acknowledge him as her son, especially when she refuses to come clean to daughter Chloe. Will Dom work out where he belongs?
Also, Scary Sue 'from ITU' has moved onto AAU and reveals she’s applying for the job of ward Matron. But with nurse Donna doing all the hard work while Sue seems more interested in chatting, will Donna decide to throw her hat in the ring for the more-demanding role?
Holby City continues Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC1.
