Hollyoaks spoilers: GUILTY! Mercedes is panicked when she gets an anonymous text
Mercedes McQueen is sent into a spin when she receives an unwelcome text message from a mystery sender. What are they accusing her of?
Hollyoaks' Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) has been racked with guilt and self-loathing ever since causing the accident which put Grace Black in a wheel chair.
With guilt getting the better of her, she’s been spiralling out of control and been taking drugs again. Her husband Sylver (David Tag) has had enough but decides to give her another chance, unaware of exactly what she’s been getting up to with Liam Donovan, behind his back.
Meanwhile Sylver’s mum Breda (Moya Brady) has been encouraging the couple to make amends and even invites Mercedes on a family picnic.
Later on Sylver, who’s starting to feel he’s been too harsh on his wife, apologises and he and Mercedes make up before tumbling into bed together.
However, Mercedes is jolted into a panic when she receives a text from an anonymous blackmailer reading, ‘I know what you’ve done!’ Who has sent the text and what exactly do they know about her?
Elsewhere, Maxine Minniver (Nicki Sanderson) calls Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) to help organize her wedding day.
Conniving Maxine then lies to her fiancé Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts) telling him she has to rush off for a meeting with a private doctor when in reality she wants to check out a haul of potential wedding dresses. With everyone pandering to bridezilla Maxine’s demands, Damon and Brody book an expensive helicopter to fly into the wedding ceremony.
Meanwhile Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) has a date with Jed, the guy who Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) set him up with. However the date is super-awkward when the two men quickly realise they don’t have much in common.
Later Jonny and Stuart arrive home after their stint out on the town spray painting racist messages on walls.
Ste tells them he and Jed didn’t exactly hit it off but things are awkward when Jed overhears their conversation.
Will Ste feel forced to see Jed again?
Hollyoaks is shown weekdays on C4 at 6.30pm with the next episode following on E4
