Imogen gets suspicious as Karen's toiletries have gone missing from the bathroom and Rob confesses that she's gone to stay with Granddad. Rob asks Jack to spend some more time at the house while he's on overtime and Jack agrees. That night, Imogen rejects Rob's attempts to make up with her and Rob decides to come clean and tells her and Jack that when Karen returns, he is moving out. Imogen blames Rob and accuses him of bullying Karen into having the abortion. Rob leaves and Jack turns on Imogen. Later, Jack tries to talk to his dad but Rob doesn't respond as he watches TV – his eyes glazed. Simon and Daniel clash over a teenage girl who may have been abused at the hands of her father - but who is reading the situation right? An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
