Returning to Darwin following the death of his brother Harry, Joseph is shocked to find Jac on trial as Sam's replacement. When Philip Lawlor arrives looking for a new registrar, Connie showcases Jac for the position. But when Joseph unintentionally ruins her plan, Connie is forced to appoint Jac as the new CT surgeon on Darwin. Chrissie returns to Holby to get her dressing changed. Racked with guilt over not helping Chrissie more after she was attacked by Stuart, Kyla downs some run and Chrissie is outraged when she smells alcohol on her breath. Mark helps Kyla and they decide she's not coping and should go down a level at work. Meanwhile, Sam is determined to keep on working while obviously suffering from his chemotherapy treatment. When Sam collapses on Keller, Ric is furious that he is taking on more than he can cope with.
