Neighbours spoilers: Piper discovers the truth about Cassius's tragic past

Neighbours - Piper Willis and Cassius Grady

Piper is moved when boyfriend Cassius reveals the truth about his tragic past and a terrible accident involving his mum...

Although their romance got off to a wobbly start, Piper and Cassius finally seem to be taking the plunge and finding out more about each other.

When Cassius helps Piper's bestie Xanthe with some exercises to relieve the pain in her hand following her seizure, Piper is impressed by his kindness and wonders where her boyfriend learned his rehab skills. But she's taken aback when Cassius reveals he had to handle his mum's rehab after she was involved in a terrible accident.

Moved by Cassius's honesty, Piper realises she made the right decision closing the chapter with her and ex-boyfriend Tyler, and is committed to moving forward with Cassius and their relationship.

Meanwhile, Gary is still holding on to the stolen cash for ex-prison inmate Jeremy and secretly stashes the money at the Canning house. Gary goes to visit daughter Xanthe in hospital. But when he returns home later that day, he's shocked to discover the money is missing! Has it been stolen and by who?

Elsewhere, Leo's match-making between his dad Paul and work colleague Terese has paid off as the pair get closer again. However, Leo's buddy Ned is curious when he hears Leo gushing about Terese and begins to wonder if Leo has fallen for Terese himself. Is Ned right?

Writer

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
