In this week's Poldark, Dr Dwight Enys puts his job on the line as he stands up in court
In Poldark this week, for once it’s not Ross Poldark ruffling the feathers of the powers that be (although, to be fair, he also has his fair share of set-tos), but the usually calm-natured Dr Dwight Enys (Luke Norris), with his new-found passion for mental health.
Dwight makes a risky career choice when he takes to the stand in court to help free James Hadfield (the man who attempted to assassinate the king) by pleading his insanity.
Meanwhile, a fired-up Ned Despard recruits Ross to help clear his name and star-crossed lovers Geoffrey Charles (Freddie Wise) and Cecily (Lily Dodworth-Evans) grow ever closer.
But with Cecily’s villainous dad Ralph Hanson now at war with the Poldarks, it’s a budding romance that’s unlikely to end well… t’int right, t’int fair, t’int proper!
