Dylan and Glen have some serious explaining to do

Remember nurse Robyn Miller’s boyfriend Glen Thomas, who left her standing at the altar, never to be heard of again? Well he’s back! He arrives at Holby ED this week desperate to talk to Robyn and hold their baby Charlotte. But first he’s got a lot of explaining to do…

Through a series of flashbacks we discover doctor Dylan Keogh (Will Beck) and his American mentor Zsa Zsa Harper-Jenkinson (Cagney & Lacey star Sharon Gless) played a heavy part in both Glen’s deception and also his reprieve from an aggressive brain tumour. The secrets started at Charlie’s stag do when Dylan found Glen drunk in a gutter and called Zsa Zsa for help!

Having accidentally bumped into Glen (Owain Arthur) while looking for Charlie, Dylan knew he had to do something before he drank himself to death. First Dylan revealed to Glen that Robyn (Amanda Henderson) was pregnant… a fact that persuaded him he wanted to live long enough to meet his baby. Next Dylan phoned sympathetic Zsa Zsa who, after a Skype meeting, decided funny man Glen was worth trying to help, so she flew to the UK and performed very risky surgery on the seriously ill Welshman…

Also this week, Sam attempts to tap into Iain’s emotional side. Why is she so keen to get under his skin? And we learn more about Dylan’s past and vulnerabilities thanks to Zsa Zsa’s revelations.
