When Choi's ex-husband, film producer Shin Sang-ok, went looking for her, he was also kidnapped – and the golden couple of Korean cinema ended up making films for the North Korean leader, who wanted them to revive his country's film industry. Eight years after Choi’s abduction, the pair escaped…
