This programme really has the wow factor, as that’s exactly the reaction from owners when they return to the workshop to pick up their repaired family heirlooms.

In today’s programme, kicking off the second week of this current series, Steve has to use his mechanical skills to get a 125-year-old toy steamboat, which was found on a beach in 1952, floating again.

Meanwhile, soft-toy restorers Amanda and Julie are tasked with giving a worn panda a little TLC so that Jill can ‘cuddle and love him again’, while furniture expert Will has to use all the tricks of the trade to revive a rosewood table that’s been in the same family for four generations.

Tears of joy all round…

Continues daily.
