Zainab gets up late, woozy from the sleeping tablets. Tamwar has a go at Zainab for hiding Amira's number. Zainab tells Yusef she remembers throwing away Amira's number. Yusef convinces Zainab that she's mistaken. Zainab wants to come off the sleeping tablets. Yusef insists on changing her prescription instead. That evening he brings her new tablets and crushes several into her dinner. Zainab collapses unconscious. Yusef puts the empty pill bottle in her hand and leaves... Vanessa has a run in with Tanya over Lauren splitting up Jodie and Darren. Lauren tries to deflect Vanessa's anger from Tanya. Lauren realises Tanya is hiding her fear when she tries to bluff that her cancer isn't serious. Cora finds Lauren on the verge of tears and wants to know what's wrong. Tanya sees them together and is worried that Lauren has blabbed about her illness. Ben watches Jay sparring with new young boxer Duncan. Phil goads Ben into getting in the ring with him but Ben makes a poor show. Ben asks Christian if he can join the boxing gym. Christian arranges a training session that evening. Christian thinks Ben has a lot on his mind. Ben shoots a telling look at Duncan as he leaves with Jay...

His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
