It’s certainly more original than perfume…

‘Tis the season to be jolly…and get loads of presents, if we’re lucky! But what are our favourite telly stars hoping to receive this year?

Well, there’s something rather different on Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon’s wish list. The actress, who plays Weatherfield’s Bethany Platt, says she’s keeping her fingers crossed for… a door mat!

Reveals Lucy: “I really want a doormat, and I’ve seen one I like – it’s got a sausage dog on it.

“It’s £30, which I think is quite expensive for a door mat, but that’s what I’ve asked for.”

The 23 year old adds that she is “Christmas-obsessed” and has already watched the films Elf and A Bad Moms’ Christmas.

And she says that she’ll be spending the big day with her family.

“We’re going out this year; there’s 22 of us,” she says. “It’s a little bistro-type restaurant and it’s quite small, so there’ll hopefully only be us in there, and we’ll take it over.

“Normally, my mum cooks. I feel like going out is not the same as staying in and playing games, but we’ll see. Hopefully we’ll make it just as good.

“I’ll probably have to watch Coronation Street on catch-up. I don’t want to have to make 22 people sit down and watch it. I’ll probably watch it on Boxing Day when I’m hungover.”
