Could there be a reunion on the cards for Phil Mitchell and Shirley Carter in EastEnders?
EastEnders legend Phil Mitchell might be a man on a mission trying to work out who landed him in hospital recently, but that hasn't stopped soap fans planning his future love life.
EastEnders viewers have loved seeing Shirley and Phil back in cahoots as she became his latest business partner recently, and their hilarious banter and unstoppable bond has got everyone thinking that they could be a couple once again.
Fans have taken to social media to share just how much they love Shirley and Phil together, and have even suggested Mr Mitchell ditches wife Sharon and reunites with his former flame...
Last night's EastEnders saw Phil on the warpath just moments after setting foot back in Albert Square after being released from hospital, determined to get to the bottom of his mysterious attack.
Not only was he less than impressed with his welcome home party set up by Ben, he was soon visiting Jay trying to find out why him and Ben were arguing by his bedside at the hospital.
While Jay remained loyal to Ben and made up a line about Ben getting emotional seeing Phil in a hospital bed, Phil went to The Arches to see if he could piece together the events of that fateful night.
Eventually he thought he had worked it all out and paid Kat a surprise visit... but despite her taking the blame for what happened and covering for Stacey, she also let slip that Ben was more involved than he is letting on.
But while Phil struggles to get to the bottom of what really happened the night he was attacked, it seems Shirley will be by his side every step of the way.
She was the first person who he called when he worked out the Slaters were involved in his attack, and it doesn't look like she is going to be going anywhere for a long time.
Could Sharon's baby secret finally get revealed, pushing Phil back in former flame Shirley's arms?
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
