What connects Vicar Harriet to prostitute Dawn?

Vicar Harriet Finch is stunned when she claps eyes on prostitute Dawn in Emmerdale in an explosive twist this evening – so what is their secret connection?

Harriet’s face is a picture tonight when she runs into Pete Barton and Rhona’ Goskirk’s troubled houseguest.

The pair obviously have a huge past, which will be revealed soon, and it may go back to Harriet’s days in the police. Did Harriet arrest Dawn in the past? Or, is there no police connection and there’s some other secret about Dawn that Harriet doesn’t want to come out?

Olivia Bromley, who plays Dawn, says her drug-addled character is just as stunned to see Harriet.

“Dawn is completely floored by seeing Harriet, and Harriet hadn't expected to see Dawn either,” she reveals. “Harriet makes out that she doesn’t know who Dawn is, but it’s clear that there’s some real history between them… and there are some shocking revelations to come”.

What we do know is that things are going to get heated between the pair this evening as they discuss their past. Could it be that Harriet was once a prostitute herself? Could that be the surprise link? It would certainly explain why she’s not exactly delighted to see Dawn!

Elsewhere in Emmerdale, Debbie Dingle at last has some good as her daughter Sarah is let out of hospital.
