Scarlett Brady's meddling leads to a shock twist for Yashvi Rebecchi and Ned Willis...

Today's Neighbours sees Scarlett's meddling in Yashvi and Ned's relationship reach an all-time high when she manages to manipulate them into taking a break from their romance.

The loved-up pair have found their romance hitting the rocks regularly since Scarlett arrived in Erinsborough after meeting Ned at a Sydney airport having just been jilted by her fiancé at the altar.

But little do the pair know, Scarlett is totally besotted with Ned since their chance meeting and has come to Ramsay Street to win his affections from Yashvi.

Having already moved to the same street as Ned, as well as landing herself a job at Lassiters with him, Scarlett is everywhere Ned turns these days. But as well as lusting after Ned, Scarlett has also been laying the groundwork with Yashvi by pretending to be her friend.

Yesterday's Neighbours saw Scarlett tamper with Bea's mike wire as she was about to play a gig at the Waterhole, leaving poor Bea fighting for her life in hospital after receiving a serious electric shock.

Today's Neighbours (5.30pm, see our TV Guide for full listings) sees Ned rushing an unconscious Bea to hospital, leaving his phone behind in the drama.

But of course, Yashvi is waiting for him at their date, and when he is a no show, she immediately gets defensive about him standing her up. And when Scarlett tracks her down and plays down the drama with Bea, Yashvi is angry about him missing their date to be with his ex.

And it seems Scarlett's plan to sabotage Ned and Yashvi's romance has worked a treat, because as she plays them off on one another, Ned makes the decision to ask for a time out and tells a devastated Yashvi he wants to take a break.

As Yashvi visits Bea in hospital to vent about her heartbreak, Ned turns to Scarlett, and as the pair talk things through he thanks her for being a good friend.

But how much more meddling can Scarlett do before someone works out her true colours?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5
