Holby's James Anderson: 'Everything seems to get in the way of #Zollie!' (VIDEO)

Holby City's James Anderson lifts the lid on what the future holds for former lovers Ollie Valentine and Zosia March...

As registrar Ollie Valentine goes to war with fiery surgeon Jac Naylor in tomorrow night's Holby City, James Anderson reckons there's 'unfinished business' between Ollie and Darwin Ward's other formidable force, Dr Zosia March.

Having had more ups and downs than the hospital lift, Ollie and Zosia (Camilla Arfwedson) recently split after Ollie questioned her professional judgement then rubbed salt in the wounds with an ill-judged smooch with nurse Cara!

James told What's on TV that he thought Ollie was 'a fool' to set the wheels of their break-up in motion…

"Zosia does represent a true love for Ollie, so when things came off the rails, which they did spectacularly, she did end the relationship and I don't think Ollie saw that coming," he said. "Then he behaved quite recklessly by snogging Cara.

"Ollie's a fool. He's a very fallible man and he messed up, but I think in that situation he thought the relationship was doomed and over and it was her decision and she'd moved on in some way. So it all came out of that, in his defence."

So is this really the end of Zosia and Ollie – or #Zollie as the Twitter community likes to call them?

James said: "There's definitely unsaid, unfinished business there, but they've got a ward to run and patients to attend to, so whenever there’s an opportunity for [their relationship] to come up, it's suddenly there and the two characters are thrown into something incredibly real and frightening. It’s almost like it's head above the parapet, then down and then bury it. Everything seems to get in the way of Zollie!"

Should Zosia and Ollie be together again at some point in the future? James is not so sure.

"Well, I think he'd be very happy if they were and I think Ollie would make Zosia happy, but as an actor I really enjoy the 'will they, won't they'. It's probably quite frustrating for the viewers, but it's very nice to work your way around to a place… playing that game I've really enjoyed.

"But we'll see, I don't know. I think as long as our producers can create new, exciting and fresh stories for those two, we will have fun playing them."

It seems though that there might soon be a new arrival on Darwin who attracts Ollie's attention. Stayed tuned to What's on TV for more…
