Strictly Come Dancing went to Blackpool for its extra-special show from the Tower Ballroom, featuring the nine remaining celebrity contestants and their pro partners.
And it was pop star Simon Webbe who shone brighter than the Blackpool illuminations, with the first Argentine Tango of this year’s contest - and the series' first three 10s.
“Winner! Winner!,” shouted head judge Len Goodman after Simon’s performance with Kristina Rihanoff - and scored Simon a 10.
“Wow!” added Darcey Bussell. “That was passionate and intense!” - and got a 10 from Darcey, too.
“Masterful… spectacular!” said Bruno Tonioli, also scoring Simon a 10.
Unsurprisingly, it was Craig Revel Horwood who spoiled Simon’s night, scoring him eight and saying, “It was a bit stiff in places… but I did love it.”
Singer/songwriter Pixie Lott was tied at the top of leaderboard with Simon, after her Paso Doble with Trent Whiddon.
“That was triumphant!” Bruno told Pixie.
“You are an indomitable force in the competition,” added Craig. “Almost invincible on the dance floor.”
One point behind, on 37, was Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, who performed a quickstep with Kevin Clifton.
“That was fast,” said Len. “Three points for speeding! Your best dance.”
“It was as if you were jet-propelled,” added Bruno. “You did not put a foot wrong.”
And Craig, who made Frankie cry last week with his comments, was a lot kinder this week: “You are a fantastic dancer,” he told Frankie. “It was bright and it was lively.”
Tied with Frankie on 37 was TV presenter Caroline Flack, who was in last week’s dance-off.
Her jive with Pasha Kovalev was “executed with military precision”, said Craig.
And Len added: “If you’re in the dance-off this week, I’m going to run to the end of the pier and jump off naked!”
EastEnders’ star Jake Wood had a better week, scoring 36 for his American Smooth with Janette Manrara.
“You put the ‘oo’ in moody, Jake. You’re back!” Len told him.
Reality TV star Mark Wright also scored 36 - his highest score yet - for his Charleston with Karen Hauer.
“You were swift on your feet, comical, energetic… Fantastic!” said Bruno.
Wildlife TV presenter Steve Backshall’s American Smooth with Ola Jordan “lacked a little flair”, said Craig - and scored 31.
Casualty star Sunetra Sarker scored 30 for her samba with Brendan Cole.
“You went wrong and didn’t cover it up,” Bruno told Sunetra.
“It was all over the shop,” added Craig. “I felt you were struggling with this one.”
Tennis coach Judy Murray has struggled every week - and this week was no different.
Judy scored 24 for her Viennese Waltz with Anton Du Beke.
“You had a good 15 seconds, I’d say,” Craig told her.
“If they can land a spaceship on a comet, then Anton can teach you to dance,” Len said, optimistically.
Will Judy land in the dance-off?
