Today's Neighbours sees Elly Brennan's baby lie threatened as she is rushed to hospital after being mysteriously attacked.
Neighbours fans saw Elly brutally targeted by a mysterious figure yesterday as she worked after hours at the school, and it seems there could be something seriously wrong with the baby she has fought so hard for when she starts to suffer with stomach cramps.
Today's episode sees Elly rushed to hospital, fearing for the wellbeing of her unborn child.
But as David Tanaka goes to examine her, she realises her baby lie would be exposed if he did an ultrasound and she demands Dr Dietrich looks after her instead.
David tries not to be put out by his friend's request and luckily for Elly, Dr Dietrich arrives just in the nick of time.
Elly is convinced that her lies and secrets have caused her to potentially lose the baby, and that if anything happens to her child then it is all her fault.
It is an agonising wait for Elly to see if her baby has survived the attack, and Mark is in bits in the hospital waiting room, fearing he is about to lose another unborn child.
However, fans know that Mark isn't the father of Elly's baby, and she actually got pregnant after a one-night stand with Finn Kelly's brother, Shaun.
But while Shaun knows he is going to be a dad, and of course Dr Dietrich knows that the baby isn't Mark's, everyone else is in the dark about her baby lie.
As Mark reassures Elly that she deserves to be a mum, Elly is on the brink of telling Mark the truth about him not being the dad... but just as it seems she is about to confess the doctor arrives to reveal that her baby is just fine and that all she needs is a little rest to recover from her ordeal.
So her secret is safe for now... but how much longer will Elly be able to keep her web of lies from her husband?
