What’s on telly tonight? Our pick of the best shows on Saturday 16th June

What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Saturday 16th June

Blind Date, 8.30pm, Channel 5

Paul O’Grady is back playing Cupid for more singletons, who are hoping they’ll find ‘the one’ on the telly. Tonight’s include Barry from Dublin, who makes the catastrophic mistake of bringing his mum on the show with him. The twist is, it’s up to her which lady her son will go on the date with… that is, if any of them want to go out with a guy who brings his mother with him when he’s looking for love! Plus, we catch up with the couples from last series, including Amy, who went to Nice for a date with Chris, but tells Paul she would have preferred a day out in Blackpool! Rating: ****

Chuckle Time, 5.05pm, Channel 5

If you loved seeing the Chuckle Brothers pop up in Benidorm recently, you’ll be pleased to hear they are back with their own show after nine years. In a cross between You’ve Been Framed and Chucklevision, internet clips of members of the public’s funniest flops, falls and fails will be interspersed with classic sketches. But with a combined age of 143, are the Chuckles still silly enough to be worthy of their name? Of course they are! Rating: ****

Hidden, 9pm, BBC4

DI Cadi John thinks she has found a link between Mali, the girl who was found murdered, and another missing girl. There’s not much evidence apart from Cadi’s gut instinct and a bracelet, but if she’s right, there is a serial killer on the loose. Meanwhile, district nurse Lowri has a terrible day when she is not only threatened by her ex but also followed by the very weird Dylan. Is Cadi’s list of missing girls about to get even longer? Rating: ***
