What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight three of the best shows on telly tonight for Sunday 2nd December

Little Drummer Girl, 9pm, BBC1

Charlie and notorious terrorist Khalil plan to bomb a London university in this gripping finale, but is this part of the actress’ greatest ever performance or has she joined the Palestinians for real? This superb cast – not least the steely-eyed Charles Dance, who plays Intelligence Officer Picton – really come to the boil in this cerebral climax. Rating: *****

Dynasties, 8pm, BBC1

For years Tait the painted wolf, or African hunting dog, has ruled over a harmonious pack along the floodplains of the Zambezi river, but now she finds herself up against her most lethal enemy to date – her own daughter Blacktip. Blacktip launches an astonishing attack on her mother and forces her and her pack into exile, where every day is a struggle to survive. Can Tait keep her pack safe from the lions, hyenas and crocodiles who live in their new, unfamiliar territory and evade Blacktip, who decides to stalk Tait and get rid of her for good? A shocking family drama. In the ‘making of’ segment, David Attenborough reveals the plight facing the 6,600 painted wolves left in the world. Rating: ****

A Very British Country House, 9pm, C4

As the British Summer season begins, the staff at the five-star Cliveden House Hotel in Berkshire are busier than ever. As wealthy international guests flock to quintessentially English events like Ascot and Henley, wedding coordinator Lydia gears up for her biggest Big Day ever. The couple – Cathy and Mo – have exclusive use of the whole house, all 48 bedrooms and 400 acres of grounds (at a cost of at least £150,000) for their opulent Anglo-Indian two-day extravaganza. The bride has even requested staff wear traditional Indian dress. It’s certainly a weekend the bride and groom will never forget, but just imagine the size of the final bill! Rating: ***
