Julia Bradbury: Breast Cancer and Me, 9pm, ITV
Since her breast cancer diagnosis last year, Countryfile star Julia Bradbury has been refreshingly honest about her ongoing progress. Now she shares her emotional, yet uplifting, breast cancer story in the hope it will help spread awareness of the disease that affects one in seven women. The documentary follows the mum-of-three’s journey from her diagnosis, through to her potentially life-saving mastectomy and her journey to recovery. Julia also meets other families facing similar struggles, while also focusing on her own family, as she reveals the overwhelming effect her diagnosis has had on them.

Rob & Romesh vs Strongman, 9pm, Sky Max/NOW
Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan have never been afraid to embarrass themselves while tackling quirky challenges in their Sky Max show and now they’re back for fresh humiliation in a new four-part series. Tonight’s opening episode sees the pair squeezing into spandex while training for a strongman contest at a body-building festival named in honour of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Their Icelandic trainer, Magnús Ver Magnússon, might have won the World’s Strongest Man title four times, but this challenge could be his toughest yet.

Ten Percent, Prime Video
Remaking hit French series Call My Agent! is a tall order, but W1A creator John Morton has done a fine job without losing the je ne sais quoi of the original. Set in a fictional London talent agency, the series opens with the discovery that client Kelly Macdonald (gamely playing herself) has lost out on a major role – because she’s too old. Meanwhile, the arrival of a new assistant spells trouble for Jonathan (Jack Davenport). With Maggie Steed, Rebecca Humphries and Harry Trevaldwyn as Stella, Julia and Ollie.

Royal Flying Doctors, 9pm, More4
Australian telly helped to get us through lockdown, with their versions of Love Island and Married at First Sight proving a real treat. Now, as Neighbours sadly comes to an end, we’re getting another Aussie drama to keep us entertained. This one is based on Down Under’s real-life air ambulance service Royal Flying Doctor Service, which saves lives in remote parts of the outback. Episode one follows a new recruit to the team, who runs into difficulty on her very first day. It’s a bit like Casualty, but in the air!

Rebuilding Notre Dame: The Next Chapter, 8pm, BBC Two
In 2019, a fire ravaged Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. Since then, non-stop work has made the building safe, and now Lucy Worsley is following restorers as they focus on finer details. She also interviews the teams involved in saving artworks and rebuilding the impressive spire. Lucy is the perfect host for this film, as it was a visit to the famous monument at the age of 16 that inspired her to become a historian.

Best box set to watch on TV tonight
Idris Elba's Fight School, season 1, BBC iPlayer
When Idris Elba was a young man growing up in London, he could easily have fallen into a life of crime, but says boxing helped to keep him on the straight and narrow. Now, the Luther star is setting up a fight school to give eight British youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds the chance to transform their lives in a similar way, while he watches from ringside. It’s an opportunity that most of the recruits are determined to grab with both hands, and it’s clear Idris sees something of his younger self in each of them. All five episodes are now available on BBC iPlayer.
Best film to watch on TV tonight
Laura, 6.15pm, Talking Pictures TV
This classic mystery thriller from 1944 is often described as a film noir but it’s far weirder than that. It’s the movie that Gene Tierney is best remembered for, as Laura, the woman all the other men in the film fall in love with. Bizarrely, that includes the cop investigating her death (Dana Andrews), who’s only got an oil painting as source material. The cast is superb and includes Clifton Webb as a fastidious journalist and Vincent Price as a playboy who’s got it all – except money.
