The Dales’ bad boy hinted things could get worse for Debbie Dingle

Debbie Dingle and Joseph Tate recently rekindled their romance, but it seems there may be trouble ahead.

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine today, actor Ned Porteous teased viewers about their future.

“From playing this character for 18 months, it’s become so apparent that ever since the beginning he’s had such a powerful respect for her, an admiration,” he told Lorraine Kelly.

“Everything she stands for and the way she holds herself, the kind of plucky woman that she is. So I think Joe is now completely besotted by her and is very much in love with her…

“…Or is he?” the 23-year-old actor teased.

Could Joseph be about to betray Debbie in the coming weeks, after covering for her following the acid attack?

Last night, viewers saw Ross Barton get hold of a gun as he revealed he was planning to shoot Simon - who he thinks was behind the attack.

However, Connor urged him to look elsewhere as he revealed Simon was in fact paid £100,000 to keep quiet in court.

Tonight, Ross is set to confront Joseph and it's been confirmed that someone will definitely get shot, but will someone meet a grisly end?

Ross actor Michael Parr has confirmed that he's leaving the soap in order to 'explore other avenues'.

Last night the 31-year-old star tweeted: "Yes I’ll be leaving the soap soon. Have had the best few years at Emmerdale but it’s time to move on and explore other avenues. If I win that soap award I might stay though."

But it seems Ned wasn't aware of Michael's plans to leave the Dales.

When quizzed by Lorraine about the news, he replied: “I heard it was a rumour. I haven’t spoken to him about it - you’ll have to ask him!”
