To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, Fiona Bruce presents a special programme in which viewers bring in items relating their families’ experiences of the Holocaust.

Among those sharing their stories is Zahava Kohn, who survived Belsen and narrowly escaped being sent to Auschwitz.

It was only when clearing her late mother’s home in 2001 that Zahava found a stash of mementoes of the family’s wartime lives.

They include a photo of her infant brother Jehudi, which was smuggled into camp inside a bag of beans by the Dutch resistance to show his mother that he was still alive.
