Made by Aardman Animations, this computer-animated comedy is stuffed with warm-hearted wit, charm and ingenuity to delight the whole family over many Christmas viewings.
Apparently, Santa (voiced by Jim Broadbent) leaves it to his eldest son (Hugh Laurie), who runs the slick, hi-tech present-delivery operation with the help of a mile-wide sleigh and a million elves.
That is, until a glitch means a child in a Cornish village accidentally misses out on her present – so clumsy younger brother Arthur (James McAvoy), doddering Grandsanta (Bill Nighy) and a lowly elf (Ashley Jensen) have to join forces to finish the job.
