Three years ago, Ben Fogle visited twins Bill and Bob Stone in their hidden-away Utah home.
The septuagenarian pair loved their life in the hills, where they grew their own veg and prepared for the end of the world with a huge store of supplies that could last for five years if the worst was to happen.
As Ben returns he’s surprised to discover that Bob has got married and left the isolated ranch while Bill, at 75, is living alone, farming the 10-acre plot with only his old war movies for company.
Ben worries how he’s coping, but we get the sense that ‘Wild Bill’, as his friends call him, will be hiding away in the hills for years yet.
