Crystal has a terrible tooth infection and a phobia of dentists – but then Trixie meets dashing dentist Christopher. Perhaps he can help Crystal and maybe bring a smile to Trixie's face, too?

Meanwhile, Fred and Violet take in Reggie, a young man with Down’s Syndrome (a beautiful performance from Daniel Laurie), whose mum, Fred's cousin, has suddenly died.

While Violet is reluctant to let him stay permanently, finding another home for him proves hard… Elsewhere, as dark news about Sister Mary Cynthia emerges, there’s fun as Nurse Crane tries to teach Sister Winifred to drive.
