Malachy's angry after discovering Mercedes and Calvin's affair and he struggles to deal with her infidelity. Mercedes and Calvin are entered into the Mr & Mrs Sexy Santa competition at The Dog. Kris is judging the competition and declares a snog fest for the deciding round. The couple win and, unable to deal with the situation, Malachy hits the bottle. Later, on their own again, Calvin and Mercedes succumb to their feelings and continue their affair. Neville asks Josh to convince Hannah to come home for Christmas. Josh agrees and makes arrangements for the two to meet and they bond over a shopping trip. He broaches the subject of Christmas at the Ashworths but Hannah remains defiant - she's never coming home! Myra accosts Duncan and Ricky and demands to know where her luxury hamper is. In an attempt to cover themselves Duncan tells her they gave it to Ricky's family who are in desperate need of food. Myra's inspired by the lads' good deed and insists on getting a few extra presents for Ricky's family for Christmas. His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
