Priests Lalor Roddy and Ciarán Flynn travel to a grim nun-run home for 'fallen women' in 1960 Ireland in this spooky found-footage horror.

They’re there to investigate a reported miracle. However, when Flynn’s jumpy young priest, wielding his 16mm camera, and weary, sceptical older colleague Roddy turn up it isn't just the ensuing spooky goings-on that make us shudder, but the real cruelties of the notorious Magdalene Laundries system.

Pulsing with indignation at clerical hypocrisy, director Aislinn Clarke's film may not convert found-footage sceptics, but it is a distinct cut above the low-budget genre's usual fare thanks to its careful craft and strong performances, particularly from Roddy.
