Doctors spoilers: Is there romance in store for Al Haskey?
Al Haskey is not happy about going on a blind date! But things are looking-up for Al when he meets the mysterious Vicki on Doctors...
Is Al Haskey (played by Ian Midlane) about to find a new romance on Doctors? (1:45pm on BBC One, see our TV Guide for full listings).
The medic has finally put his engagement disaster to Lily Walker behind him.
However, on today's episode of the BBC daytime drama, Al is not keen when he realises he has been set-up on a blind date!
Al complains to surgery co-workers Jimmi Clay (Adrian Lewis Morgan) and Valerie Pitman (Sarah Moyle) that his friends have cancelled on him.
But the friends have suggested Al still meets up with one of their female friends for drinks.
So they've clearly set him up on a blind date!
Al shows Jimmy and Valerie the text messages from his friends.
But disaster strikes when Al's phone accidentally falls into the sink full of washing-up!
Al, Jimmi and Valerie try to perform a lifesaving procedure on the phone.
But it's DEAD.
Al has no way of cancelling the date with the mystery woman.
So the grumpy medic heads to the pub to await his fate.
However, things are looking-up when Vicki (played by ex-Family Affairs and EastEnders star Anna Acton) arrives.
She's pretty, funny and the pair actually seem to connect.
Al and Vicki go on to make a night of it as they gatecrash a party at an art gallery.
Followed by an unexpected showdown with the grumpy manager of a dodgy pub!
Al and Vicki are definitely on the same wavelength.
Could this be the start of a fine new romance for Al?
Or is it all just too good to be true?
Doctors continues every Monday to Thursday at 1:45pm on BBC One
