Emmerdale spoilers: Belle Dingle is reeling to discover Lisa’s heart-breaking secret
Belle Dingle is utterly devastated when her mum Lisa returns to the village and reveals she is terminally ill with a heart condition
An excited Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is busy making preparations for her mum Lisa (Jane Cox) and dad Zack’s (Steve Halliwell) return to the village.
She and the rest of the clan rally to arrange a special welcome home party for the couple who’ve been staying in Scotland
However heart-break awaits as Belle and the family still have no idea the huge secret Lisa has been hiding; that she is terminally ill with a heart condition.
So far Zack and Charity (Emma Atkins) are the only Dingles mum Lisa has confided in.
When the couple finally arrive at Homestead they’re overwhelmed by the huge reception they receive and all the trouble the family has gone to make things special for their arrival.
A teary Lisa can’t help feeling overwhelmed and begins to feel under pressure to tell her nearest and dearest the real reason they are back.
When Charity starts to get emotional, a confused Belle wants to know what’s going on and before long Lisa, who has desperately wanted to keep everything as normal as possible since her diagnosis, finally cracks and confesses to Belle that she is dying and no treatment can help her.
As the family struggle to take in the news, Belle is reeling
It’s all too much for the utterly broken youngster and there’s further upset when she realises Charity has known all along that Lisa was seriously ill and might not have long left.
How could her mum and Charity have kept such devastating news from her until now?
