As consultant Sacha Levy suffers an emotional setback, support comes from a familiar face…

After being diagnosed with depression last year, consultant Sacha Levy's mental health took a turn for the worse a few weeks ago when he considered taking his own life. Although he's now back at work, it seems Sacha's still battling with his demons.

Sacha (Bob Barrett) saw some hope in his future when Tyler Saba, a young man with Crohn's disease, asked him to be his doctor. So, this week, when Tyler returns to Holby for a small bowel transplant, Sacha feels he has a lot to prove. Fortunately, Tyler's surgery is a success. But the enormity of the situation is clearly too much for Sacha who, later, slumps on the stair crying.

At that moment, Sacha's loyal friend and colleague Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) appears and is deeply concerned to see him in the grip of such despair. As they talk, Sacha confesses to Jac that he recently tried to take his own life.

Jac's furious and demands to know why Sacha didn’t confide in her in his hour of need. With Sacha convinced he's beyond help and adamant he should quit his job, Jac comes up with a plan... Sacha's going to come and live with her, and she’s not taking no for an answer! Sacha’s grateful - but will he agree?

Holby City continues Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC1.
