Kat is insistent that she wants to go through with collecting the inheritance money, despite Mo and Stacey's concerns. After talking to Shabnam, however, Kat has a change of heart, binning the letter. At the market Kat's day takes a disastrous turn when all of her stock is stolen from her stall, prompting Aleks to inform her she's lost her pitch. Finding Kat asleep with Tommy, Stacey realises Kat has drunk Tommy's medicine, while a worried Mo retrieves the dumped letter from the bin.
Billy suggests some new business ideas to Les, who gives him short shrift when Billy hints he'd like a pay rise. Finding some suspicious invoices, Billy realises all is not right. Confronting a horrified Les, Billy learns that Les has been helping skint customers by not charging them. Later, a mysterious woman arrives at the funeral parlour and Les gives her a gift...
Sonia is concerned about Carol's snappy mood, trying to talk to her. Carol fobs her off, instead heading off to deal with Liam, who has skipped school to spend the day with Cindy. Although angry, Carol surprises Sonia by letting Martin stay. Later, Carol breaks down on Sonia.
