Last Night of the Proms
The Proms audience aims to raise the roof of the Albert Hall on the Last Night
After the excitement of supporting Team GB during the Olympics and the Paralympics, get set for more flag-waving as we head to the Royal Albert Hall for the annual Last Night of the Proms celebrations.
There’s even a nod to athletics with a performance of Javelin, originally played at the 1996 Olympics’ opening ceremony. Superstar tenor Juan Diego Flórez will be singing arias from the operas of Rossini, Offenbach and Donizetti, but the real draw for most is always the traditional pieces: Pomp and Circumstance, Rule, Britannia! and Jerusalem.
