Peter's planning to propose to Leanne at Ken and Deirdre's party and spends most of the day avoiding her. But when Janice tells Leanne she's seen him with Michelle, she immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion. The party starts and Ken makes a heartfelt speech about Deirdre. As Peter sneaks in with Michelle, Leanne lays into them angrily. Eventually, Peter reveals he was actually going to propose, and that Michelle helped chose the ring. Leanne's gutted to have got it so wrong. Audrey's feeling down after visiting Gail in prison and calls Lewis for another date. Lewis claims he's told Rita he can't see her again, even though Rita actually cancelled on him. He then refuses payment saying this one is on him. Audrey starts to get excited that she may have a serious future with him. Ryan urges Sophie not to tell Sian about his pass at her. Sophie's torn, especially when Ryan tells Sian he loves her and she sees the couple looking so happy again. Also, Janice's busy setting up a romantic fish and chip supper, as Trev arrives at Carla's. He's about to call Janice and let her know he can't make it when Carla pulls him into a kiss and all thoughts of Janice are forgotten. An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
