This eerie chiller is more about atmosphere and suggestion rather than explicit shocks. All quiet whispers and ever-escalating suspicion, the suspenseful movie cleverly blurs the line between paranoia and real danger, as Theron steadily loses her grip on the world.
She is exactly right for the role and Depp's cold-faced performance is out of this world.
