Lena Headey stars in a tense crime thriller with a social conscience.

Set in California, the movie combines a gripping plot with an understated look at drug dealing and policing in a hard-scrabble neighbourhood.

Daniel Webber plays a naive teenager drawn into the orbit of a dangerous crystal meth dealer (Pablo Schreiber) and Eliza Taylor is the new girl in school whose dark secret could spell doom if discovered.

The plot has a hint of melodrama but Headey certainly rings true as the hard-bitten, cynical police detective more interested in bringing down the drug underworld's low-hanging fruit than a harder-to-reach target.
