Neighbours star Morgana O'Reilly has said she would like Naomi Canning to be swept off her feet by a new hunk.
The New Zealand-born actress, who plays Ramsay Street's resident temptress, admitted it’s about time that her alter-ego found someone different, following her knock-back from married man Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney).
“I think what would be really great is if some rough-and-tumble guy, someone she least expects, is really fun and dangerous - that would be really cool,” she said.
“She’s always gone for the rich or the married dudes, so it would be good if someone completely different turned up and swept her off her feet.”
Naomi, the daughter of Sheila (Colette Mann), is set to embark on a fling with teenager Josh Willis (Harley Bonner). He is also on the rebound after finding out Amber Turner (Jenna Rosenow) cheated on him with Daniel Robinson (Tim Phillipps).
The romance will air on the Channel 5 soap in coming weeks.
“It’s probably quite good for both of them,” Morgana said about the relationship. “I think it’s quite nice for Naomi to have someone who wants to kiss her back. But I think she’s enjoying it for purely shallow reasons.”

Morgana, who has brought her one-woman show, The Height Of The Eiffel Tower, to the Edinburgh Festival, hinted she would like to see the unlucky-in-love Naomi find true happiness, saying: “I want to say yes, but I don’t like her chances.”
Neighbours continues on weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
