Channel 4's reality show Hotel GB - in which Gordon Ramsay and Mary Portas presided over teams of celebrities at a hotel - will not be returning for a second series, Channel 4 has confirmed.
The show saw the pair join a line-up which included Kirstie Allsopp, Gok Wan and Hilary Devey, as they taught unemployed young people to run a hotel.
But despite a much-hyped launch and nightly shows on Channel 4 the show proved less than popular with viewers, with average audiences of just 1.5m.
"It was a good idea and bosses are glad they gave it a go," a source told The Sun.
"But it just didn't pull enough viewers in at the end of the day and it won't be coming back."
Others who took part in the show included Kim Woodburn, who was in charge of housekeeping and Phil Spencer as the hotel's maitre d'.
All of those who were 'trained' by the cast went on to be offered jobs at the end of the series.
Gordon's other Channel 4 shows have been more successful, including the cooking in prison show Gordon Behind Bars, and the ever-popular Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
The chef recently followed up that series with Hotel Hell, in which he aids struggling establishments across the US.
